Financial Analyst / Project Accountant
Summary and Purpose
Due to sustained growth, we are currently looking for a Financial Analyst / Project Accountant to join our team! This position is a key role in our company that enjoys job autonomy and hybrid-remote work capabilities. As a Financial Analyst / Project Accountant, responsibilities include project accounting, financial reporting, managing KPIs (Commercial & Operational), budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, ROI analysis, and providing strategic financial insights to the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Project Accounting:
- Responsible for managing revenue and profit recognition for individual projects. This includes the percentage of completion revenue recognition and managing full reconciliation to the general ledger.
- Responsible for working with the program team to develop project EACs and understanding all cost and margin variances.
- Creates and manages sales and margin trading plans along with project cash forecasts.
- Analyze project performance and provide insights into cost and margin performance.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Manage financial reporting and commercial and operational KPIs for business units within Pacteon.
- Provide analysis that supports leadership in decision-making.
- Partner with business leaders to support their business and understanding of financial variances, financial forecasting, business case development, and other analytical data analysis.
- Identify and implement process efficiencies to support the accounting and finance team to improve productivity and quality.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes for business units within Pacteon, along with consolidation.
- Develop long-term financial planning model for business.
Investor & Lender Support:
- Lead collection of financial and non-financial data for investor and lender presentations.
- Prepare presentations and information that are effective in communicating business performance and trends.
Market Analysis:
- Partner with marketing to develop analysis on industry trends and market conditions to provide data and analysis to make decisions
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments such as Sales, Engineering, and Aftermarket across Pacteon to align efforts with Company objectives.
- Travel up 25%
Professional Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting, Business, or a related field required
- Masters degree preferred
Experience:
- Proven track record of 10-15 years in Financial Planning & Analysis Roles
Skills:
- Excellent analytical skills along with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and time management skills.
- Proficiency with ERP and Accounting Systems.
